Dear Ilham Heydar oglu!

I congratulate you on your reelection as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

This convincing victory is further evidence of the wisdom of the Azerbaijani people who, having passed through many ordeals, have made the right choice on that fateful day again.

As I have repeatedly pointed out, we are all lucky that at this important period in history such a talented politician as Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev, a worthy successor to the outstanding politician of our time, my faithful friend and brother Heydar Aliyev Aliyev, is at the helm of power in Azerbaijan. Your outstanding abilities have helped you to continue the wise policy of President Heydar Aliyev, due to which, unlike Georgia, Azerbaijan has had a relatively soft transition to a new socioeconomic system with minimal losses.

It should be noted with gratitude that in our struggle for justice and territorial integrity by peaceful and political means we constantly feel the support of our brotherly people of Azerbaijan.

My daughter Manana and my son Paata with their families also join me in congratulating you because your victory is our common joy.
