Samir Rafig oglu Nuriyev
Samir Rafig oglu Nuriyev was born in Baku on 9 March 1975.
In 1981-1991, he went to secondary school No 225 in Baku.
In 1996, he graduated with honors from the Department of Engineering Business and Management of the Azerbaijan Technical University and received the qualification of engineer economist.
In 1996-2003, he worked for various private companies and in 2000-2001 was a consultant for the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Development Project in the United Nations Development Program in Azerbaijan.
In 2003-2005, he studied at Duke University in the United States and received a Master’s Degree in International Development Policy.
In 2006-2009, he worked in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan first as Deputy Director and Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Department and then as Head of the Ministry’s Department for Entrepreneurship Development Policy.
Under the Orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in 2009-2013 he worked as Deputy Director of Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan and in 2013-2016 as its Director.
Under the Order of the head of state, he headed the State Housing Construction Agency in 2016-2018.
From 2018 to November 2019, he was Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Under the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 1 November 2019, he was appointed Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He is fluent in Azerbaijani, Russian, English and Turkish.
He is married and has three children.
