President Ilham Aliyev received Andy Inglis, BP Group CEO of Exploration and Production on the occasion of completion of his activities on this post.
Stressing the strongest partnership between BP and the country, Andy Inglis noted the successful conduct of work related to various projects, including Shahdeniz 2 site under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan. He stated that over one billion barrel of oil has been transported already via Baku-Tbilis-Ceyhan oil pipeline. BP Group CEO of Exploration and Production assessed the year of 2010 as the year of the most significant achievements in the co-operation between BP and Azerbaijan.
Head of state valued highly the contribution brought to the development of co-operation between BP and Azerbaijan in the period when Andy Inglis worked in his position of BP Chief Executive Officer. Stressing the year of 2010 as the very successful one in the relations between Azerbaijan and BP, President Ilham Aliyev noted with pleasure the large scale work carried out during this period and assessed it as the continuation of the current long term partnership between the country and BP. Touching upon issues agreed for the current year between BP and Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his hope that projects envisaged will serve to strengthening of our partnership in the decades to come. Stressing his satisfaction over the level of co-operation, the head of state said that this relationship has the strategic importance and expressed his confidence over the successful implementation of our co-operation concerning Shahdeniz, Shafag, Asiman, Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and many other projects.
