I salute and congratulate you on the occasion of the opening of the Fourth Congress of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Established in 1999 and uniting thousands of entrepreneurs, the Confederation has further developed and taken its rightful place in the public life of the country in recent years.
Today, the main principles governing the relations between the state and entrepreneurs are fully established in Azerbaijan. The share of the private sector in the gross domestic product of the country has reached 83 per cent.
Support for private enterprise in one of the most important directions of the socioeconomic development of our state. As a result of the reform carried out in accordance with the requirements of the time, the state programs covering various areas, large-scale infrastructure projects, consistent work in the area of continuous improvement of business and investment environment, and public attention to the development of the private sector, the number of entrepreneurs is rapidly growing, competitive enterprises based on cutting-edge technologies are opening and investment in the national economy is expanding. Azerbaijani businessmen are engaged in successful activities in many countries around the world, establishing business relationships on the basis of mutual benefit.

The progress of society constantly presents new challenges. Modern development trends further enhance the responsibility of entrepreneurs and require them to be ready for the challenges of the time. I am confident that the decisions of the Congress will make a valuable contribution to the socioeconomic development of the country.
