President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mohammed Kamel Amr.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of President Mohammed Morsi. Noting that the two countries shared rich historical values, the Minister pointed to the presence of great opportunities for the development of cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, the development of international relations and active cooperation in the field of regional development and other areas. The President noted that there was good potential for developing strong partnerships between the two countries.
The sides exchanged views on the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt in various fields, including political, economic, investment, etc.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President of Egypt Mohamed Mursi and asked the minister to convey his greetings to the head of the Egyptian state.
