President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has visited Hajigabul District.
The head of state visited a moment to nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of Hajigabul and laid flowers at it.
Then the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan reviewed the restored Center of Heydar Aliyev on the territory of a park.
It was indicated that the center has been in operation since May 2008. After the restoration work carried out here from February of last year, the building has been expanded and its total area has been increased from 260 to 1,172 square meters. The center now has an additional exposition hall, a photo studio, folk art and drawing studios, an electronic library, a center of foreign languages, meeting rooms and a cinema. This opens up extensive opportunities for young people to study the political heritage of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, expand their knowledge and skills, master foreign languages, and extensively use the electronic library.
The center contains some interesting photographs reflecting the trips of great leader Heydar Aliyev to Hajigabul in the Soviet period and in the years of our country's independence, and his meetings with the district public. The folk art studio will enable young people to master the secrets of the ancient and modern art of carpet weaving, as well as weaving and embossing. The center’s drawing studio, while enabling young people to engage in arts, opens up extensive opportunities for the demonstration of their abilities. The department of foreign languages of the Heydar Aliyev Center provides the youth with the opportunity to learn English, French, Russian and German. This will be done using modern teaching aids. The center’s library has an electronic catalog. The system currently operates 10 databases.
It also contains bibliographic databases called "The nationwide leader", "New books", "Retro-books", "Periodicals", "Local history" and "Electronic resources on CD and DVD". Full texts of the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decrees and orders of the President are placed in the database which is part of the electronic library. Readers can obtain full texts of laws, decrees and orders both in the local and global networks. All the electronic resources of the library appear in the global information space through a web module. An electronic catalog of books and periodicals is being prepared.
After reviewing the Center, the President of Azerbaijan took a walk in the Heydar Aliyev park.
The head of the Hajigabul District Executive Authority, Ahmad Mukhtarov, informed President Ilham Aliyev that restoration work at the park had been started in September 2011. The park, covering a total area of 1.5 hectares, has extensive opportunities for people’s recreation. There is a children's leisure and entertainment center, an outdoor cinema for 320 people and a café here. The park has a modern lighting system and green areas.
