President Ilham Aliyev received Secretary General of the International Shooting Sport Federation Franz Schreiber

Secretary General of the International Shooting Sport Federation Franz Schreiber said he was pleased to pay a visit to Azerbaijan.

Franz Schreiber noted that the delegation accompanying him had got acquainted with our country and visited the sports complex in Gabala and a number of sports facilities in Baku, emphasizing the importance of public attention to the development of sport in the country. Indicating that the International Shooting Sport Federation would conduct the 2014 world cup finals in trap shooting and the qualification stage of the 2015 world cup in Azerbaijan, Franz Schreiber described the fact that Azerbaijan would play host to these important competitions as its major achievement in the area of international sport cooperation.

The President of Azerbaijan said various sports in the country were rapidly developing. President Aliyev also underlined the importance of cooperation between the International Shooting Sport Federation and relevant organizations of the country. Noting that Azerbaijan was ready to host different international competitions, the head of state said a number of world and European championships had already been held in Azerbaijan. In addition, the inaugural 2015 European Olympic Games will also be held in Azerbaijan, describing this as evidence of the excellent conditions created in the field of sports. The President expressed his hope that such international competitions would continue to be held successfully in Azerbaijan.
