President Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomalii Rahmon.
During the meeting the sides stressed the importance of the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization being held in Baku; they also expressed their confidence in the contribution of the summit to the expansion of cooperation between the member states.
The heads of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan said they were pleased with the successful development of bilateral relations of their countries in different areas.
During the meeting the sides remembered with pleasure the mutual visits that were held on the presidential level; they also noted the role of these visits to the strengthening of bilateral relations and expressed their confidence in the development of these relations in the future.
