President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of secondary school No 327 built in the Bulbula settlement of the capital’s Surakhani district.
During President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the Bulbula settlement in April 2011 to become familiar with the work done on the socioeconomic development of the suburban settlements of Baku, local residents raised the need for a new school.
On the same day the President signed an executive order to begin the construction of a secondary school for 640 pupils in the Bulbula settlement. According to the order, the construction of a new school building commenced using the funds allocated from the Contingency Fund of the President.
According to the President’s instruction, a new building of secondary school No 327 meeting the highest standards was built in a short time.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the school.
It was noted that the total area of the building consisting of three sections is 7,455 square meters. On the first floor there is a bust of great leader Heydar Aliyev, while on the second there are photo stands reflecting the activities of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev.
It was mentioned that the school has 32 classrooms on computer, chemistry, biology, physics, literature, labor and pre-conscription training of young people. The school has a Wi-Fi internet service. For the first time in the CIS, a smart class has been established in the school. It is designed for e-learning. A wireless network, a digital podium, an interactive LCD, tablet computers and other equipment installed in the smart class provide the opportunity for interactive learning. The main objective of the smart class project is to contribute to the development and modernization of the education system in Azerbaijan, apply and enhance the use of information technology to the management of the school and secondary education in general. The school has a parent-teacher association, an office of a psychologist, a library and an assembly hall for 250 people.
It was noted that there is a 2,640-square meter playground with a green cover and an area for military training fitted with sports equipment.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the landscaping work carried out on the premises.
