The buildings of a newly-built secondary school No 329 and a kindergarten have been commissioned in the Badamdar settlement in the Sabayil district of Baku.
The opening ceremonies have been attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
When visiting Badamdar in April 2011 to review the work done as part of a program on the socioeconomic development of the suburban settlements of Baku, President Ilham Aliyev met with local residents who said that the settlement needed a new school and a kindergarten. On the same day the President signed an executive order to start the construction of a new kindergarten for 120 kids and a secondary school for 880 pupils in Badamdar. The construction of the new school and kindergarten was carried out using the funds allocated from the Contingency Fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the state budget. According to the President’s instructions, the new building of secondary school No. 329 was built in a short time and in accordance with high standards.

The President was briefed on the work done. On the first floor of the school there is a photo stand reflecting the activities of great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that the total area of the three-storey building is 6,581 square meters. The school has 48 classrooms, four computer rooms, three laboratory rooms, history, math, and military training rooms.
Computer rooms are connected to the Internet. The façade and walls of the building are faced with stone slabs. The school has a large library, a canteen and a cafeteria, medical rooms, an auditorium with 120 seats for sports and other events.
The President visited various classrooms of the school. It was noted that there is a playground in the courtyard. The infield area is 8,800 square meters, of which 5,000 square meters are coated in asphalt. The area has been landscaped. Retaining walls with an area of 1,500 square meters have been built and faced in the courtyard. The area around the building has also been landscaped and the street leading to the school paved. The stairs in front of the school are now faced with granite, while internal stairs are covered with marble. Handrails have been installed.
The educational institution has been provided with an individual electricity, gas, water and sewer lines, there is a heating system and a modern boiler. Outside the school there is a new electricity transformer and a pump station. Work has been done to ensure round-the-clock supply of the building with drinking water. The school has surveillance cameras and fire alarm systems. The institution is fully fitted with new furniture, equipment and school supplies.

The President was informed about the kindergarten. In the lobby of the building there are photo stands documenting the care of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev about the children. It was noted that the two-storey building has all the conditions necessary for the education of children. The kindergarten covering an area of 1,620 square meters was built in a short time. The building is faced with stone slabs. The kindergarten will operate six groups.
In addition to common rooms and bedrooms for children, there is a large and bright dining room, music and sports halls, health and games rooms, a kitchen and auxiliary rooms. The building has a modern heating system which is connected to the boiler. New communication lines have been extended, there are three water tanks to ensure uninterrupted water supply of the building, and a pump station. The building has a fire alarm system.
The head of state reviewed the kindergarten. The courtyard of the building has been landscaped, an area of 1,000 square meters covered with asphalt, sports and playgrounds built, recreation areas and a platform for learning traffic rules created. The stairs in front of the kindergarten are laid with granite and internal stairs with marble.
President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the work done and gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
