President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Gabala

As other regions of the country, Gabala also enjoys its progress period. As a result of expedient policies carried out, the economy of the region has strengthened, the living standards of the population have increased, construction works have intensified in the city and villages. Numerous visits of the President to Gabala were accompanied with significant qualitative changes, and rapid growth was observed in the economy of the region. This is why, while being one of the active participants of rapid economic development process going on in the country, Gabala plays a huge role in successes attained by Azerbaijan.

Opening of new facilities and reconstruction of the existing ones in the region are key factors for development of Gabala economic complex. Due to this, volume of overall production in the region has increased in 2010 compared to 2003. Amount of agricultural products have nearly doubled. Approximately 8500 new working places have been opened in over 450 facilities of the region between the years of 2003-2009. As per instructions of the President, complex measures are carried out for realization of rich tourism potential of Gabala.

With all these in process, Gabala, owner of a great history, restores its historical fame again.

The President visited a monument to the national leader in the Heydar Aliyev Park.

President Ilham Aliyev checked out the renovation and reconstruction work carried out in the Heydar Aliyev Park.

The area of the park, with attractive modern look, is 2 hectares. Attention was given to improvement of greenery in the area during the reconstruction works and a special irrigation system was installed. All the necessary conditions have been created in the park for ensuring comfortable stay of people of the region and guests visiting the city. Number of benches has increased, and above all, four new fountains have been installed.
