President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a refrigerated warehouse and a greenhouse of the Masera LLC.

The President was informed said that refrigerated warehouse with a capacity of 1,200 tons and a greenhouse covering an area of 2 hectares with an annual production capacity of 700 tons of vegetables have been built in Masalli as part of the State Program on the socioeconomic development of districts. The volume of investment in the project is estimated at AZN 5 million, of which AZN 1 million is a soft loan of the National Fund on Support for Entrepreneurship.

It was noted that equipment and auxiliary facilities worth AZN 2.4 million had been purchased on leasing terms from the Aqrolizinq OJSC. The construction of the facilities began in 2011. The implementation of the project provided 60 people with jobs.

It was noted that the refrigerated warehouse fitted with Italian equipment will ensure a long and loss-free storage of fruits and vegetables grown by entrepreneurs in Masalli and surrounding districts and meet the needs of the domestic market throughout the year. The vegetables to be made in the greenhouse, built on the basis of Turkish and Dutch technologies, will also be exported to foreign countries. To ensure sustainable supply of vegetables to domestic and external markets, the greenhouse complex is to be expanded by a further 2 hectares, bringing it to 4 hectares.

A soft loan of the National Fund on Support for Entrepreneurship will also be used.

After reviewing the refrigerated warehouse and the greenhouse complexes of the Masera LLC, President Aliyev gave appropriate instructions on further agricultural development.
