President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with the President of Microsoft International and Vice-President of Microsoft Corporation, Jean Courtois, in Davos.
Jean Courtois expressed his satisfaction with the level of cooperation with Azerbaijan and stressed that our country serves as a regional example in the prevention the illegal software and fight against piracy. He said the company he represents is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the area of information security.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of information and communication technologies and has declared the development of this sector a national priority.
The sides revisited the issue of establishing a major Microsoft regional data center and decided to speed up the necessary work.
