Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a park and music and fire fountain in the Heydar Aliyev Avenue of Baku

President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of a park and music and fire fountain built in the Heydar Aliyev Avenue of Baku, outside the “Koroglu” station of the Baku Underground, on the site of former industrial enterprises.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov said the park, established in the Nizami district of Baku on the instruction of the President, has an original design. It can be accessed from three sides. It was noted that the area was previously occupied by industrial enterprises and remained largely run-down for years. The new magnificent park has become one of the best places of rest in Baku. Unique trees and flower bushes have been planted, there are conditions for recreation, 65 modern benches and 82 lighting poles.

The President and his wife were also informed about the various catering facilities which will operate within the park.

President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva reviewed design sketches of the park and nearby residential buildings.

It was noted that landscaping and construction work in the area would be continued, making it one of the most beautiful parts of our modernizing capital.

Then the President and his wife examined the music and fire fountain built in the park. It was indicated that the fountain’s lighting system imparts magical beauty to the park.

President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva reviewed the control center of the music and fire fountain. It was noted that the fountain is controlled from this center through an automated system. The fountain’s pedestal is a round hill. The music and fire fountain is made of crystal and stainless steel made in America, Germany and the UK. American, German and British companies were involved in the construction. Music lighting has been provided by Italian specialists. The fountain’s structure is designed to withstand a wind force of 60 kilometers per second and a 9-point magnitude earthquake. The symbol of fire is made of a polished stainless metal and crystal. The fountain has an audio and video system and is illuminated by laser projectors.

Then the President and his wife watched different compositions of the music and fire fountain.

Praising the work done, President Ilham Aliyev gave instructions and recommendations.
