President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Gabala lemonade factory of the “Gabala cannery Gilan” LLC.
The head of state pushed the button to launch the factory.
It was indicated that the enterprise, the construction of which commenced in March this year, is a product of the successful implementation of the State Program on the socioeconomic development of districts. The enterprise is expected to take a significant place in the region’s economy. Its world-class equipment has been installed by the Italian company Podovan. The entire process starting from the receipt of raw materials to packaging of finished products is fully automated.
President Ilham Aliyev watched the manufacturing process of the enterprise.
The factory will manufacture products of five types – cola, “Dushes”, tarragon, lemon and grape lemonades, as well as still and sparkling water. The products will be supplied in plastic and glass bottles of various sizes. The enterprise will have an annual production capacity of 50 million liters and employ a staff of 60 people.
The head of state reviewed the exhibition of merchandise produced by the Lankaran and Gabala canneries that are part of “Gilan Holding”, and the Gabala lemonade factory.
It was indicated that samples of these products meet the requirements of domestic and foreign markets and have successfully passed laboratory tests in many countries. Therefore, the goods are now shipped to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Baltic states and the American continent. One of the key principles is the use of local materials, namely the fruits grown on fertile Azerbaijani land. To do this, the enterprise takes fruits and vegetables from all over the country with the aid of local farmers. This enhances the interest of tens of thousands of people who receive orders from factories and are encouraged to cultivate fruits and vegetables. This, in turn, plays an important role in agricultural development.
The President praised the work done and gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
