Ilham Aliyev reviewed the Azerbaijan State Song Theater after major overhaul and reconstruction

President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the Azerbaijan State Song Theater after major overhaul and reconstruction.

The head of state was informed that the restoration and reconstruction of the theater building started in September 2010. Over this period, the façade and the lobby have been completely renovated, doors, windows and seats replaced, office facilities, the hall and the stage refurbished. The theater’s lighting system was made in Italy, while the sound equipment in the USA. The latest ventilation system has also been installed.

The Azerbaijan State Song Theater was established in 1968 at the initiative of prominent singer Rashid Behbudov. The theater staff have been working in this building since 1988.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the work done and gave instructions and recommendations.
