During a meeting at the Mayor’s Office of Baku chaired by President Ilham Aliyev and dedicated to the socioeconomic development of suburban settlements of the capital, the Azerbaijani President had issued instructions concerning the socioeconomic development of suburban settlements. In order to examine progress in the implementation of the said instructions on the ground, the head of state visited the Buzovna settlement of the Khazar district on 7 July.
It was indicated that, as is the case in other villages and settlements of the capital following the instructions given by the head of state at the meeting at the Mayor’s Office of Baku on the socioeconomic development of suburban settlements, large-scale creative work was under way at the Buzovna settlement of the Khazar district, roads are being landscaped and social infrastructure renewed.
President Ilham Aliyev first reviewed the facing of the multi-storey apartment blocks along the trunk road.
It was indicated that the building facings had been done with a good taste using modern materials, which lends them a modern appearance and adds new touches to the overall panorama of the settlement. Thanks to a special lighting system, the buildings become even prettier in the evening. Besides the facing, building entrances are being rebuilt and elevators renewed.
President Ilham Aliyev also examined the conditions created for people’s recreation as part of the landscaping and reconstruction work.
It was stressed that old recreation places were being modernized in some neighborhoods and new places of rest being established in others. Everything is done to diversify people’s rest. New children's entertainment facilities and sports grounds are enjoyed by the kids, while adults may now engage in various sports in their leisure time thanks to the newly-established facilities. New benches have been put up in courtyards. Another innovation in the Buzovna settlement is that a beautiful park has been established between the main road and residential buildings.
President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the park.
It was indicated that a new lighting system had been installed and benches put up.
After familiarization with the landscaping and reconstruction work in the settlement, the head of state met with local residents.
RESIDENTS: Hello, Mr. President, welcome!
President Ilham Aliyev: Hello. Thank you.
RESIDENTS: We are very grateful to you, Mr. President. You have created wonderful conditions for us.
President Ilham Aliyev: How are you? How are things progressing?
RESIDENTS: Thank you, we are grateful to you. We are very pleased.
President Ilham Aliyev: These buildings have become even more beautiful. Now the appearance is nice, all entrances, roofing and elevators have been renewed. The park has been landscaped. There is a sports ground for kids.
RESIDENTS: Indeed, it is a beautiful park. May Allah grant you good health. All the conditions are available here.
President Ilham Aliyev: Have you lived here for long? How many years?
RESIDENTS: Yes, we have lived here for 30-35 years, since the buildings were commissioned. This restoration is another gift of yours to us. May Allah bless you. There are great conditions for both adults and children here. So we would like to express our deepest appreciation to you on behalf of all residents.
President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you. I wish you good health and a comfortable life here. All the conditions are available here. These buildings have become architectural works.
RESIDENTS: Yes, conditions are available. Everything was covered with dust and dirt here. Now there is an asphalted road, a nice park.
President Ilham Aliyev: The balconies are also very nice. The living space has been expanded as well. I am very pleased that you have such wonderful conditions.
RESIDENTS: In general, there are great changes in our settlement, a lot has been done.
President Ilham Aliyev: All these buildings have been renovated. Now the buildings on the other side are being renovated. Everything should be nice and comfortable everywhere – both in the city center and outside. You know of the creative work under way in all the settlements, roads are being laid, new schools and hospitals built, buildings renovated. These buildings are an example of beauty now.
RESIDENTS: It is cleaner now and our buildings have become prettier. Thank you very much for all this.

Then the head of state issued instructions on renovating another building on the territory.
Residents of the building greeted President Ilham Aliyev from their balconies. The head of state greeted them and said:
Your building will also be renovated. I have just issued the instruction. It should be as beautiful as these buildings.
