Ilham Aliyev met with head of Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government Masoud Barzani in Davos.

President Ilham Aliyev pointed out historical and cultural relations between the two nations. The head of state recalled that Masoud Barzani`s father lived in Azerbaijan for a while. Masoud Barzani thanked the head of state for paying tribute to his father, adding that he had good memories of Baku.

They underlined the possibility of exploring the opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government in energy, trade, export, import and other areas.

Masoud Barzani said the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government was interested in cooperating with Azerbaijani companies on various projects, adding that there were good opportunities for expanding relations.
