President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with corporate vice president of Worldwide Public Sector at Microsoft Toni Townes-Whitley in Davos.

Economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan as part of the new development stage were highlighted during the meeting. The development of information and communication technologies was pointed out as one of the priorities. The importance of using information and communication technologies in modernizing national economy was emphasized.

The sides exchanged views over the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Microsoft.
