President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to the country Kodzo Kpoku Alabo.
Kodzo Kpoku Alabo reviewed a guard of honor.
The ambassador presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev then had a conversation with the ambassador.
Ambassador Kodzo Kpoku Alabo conveyed greetings of President of the Republic of Ghana John Dramani Mahama to President Ilham Aliyev, and noted that the President of Ghana instructed him to develop bilateral relations between the two countries.
Kodzo Kpoku Alabo stressed the importance of signing the agreement on political consultations between Azerbaijan and Ghana and conducting negotiations on the elimination of visa regime for diplomatic and service passport holders.
The ambassador said that during his diplomatic tenure he would spare no efforts to expand relations between the two countries.
They emphasized the existence of good opportunities for developing cooperation between the two countries in various areas, including energy and sport.
The head of state thanked for the greetings of President John Dramani Mahama, and asked the ambassador to extend his greetings to the President of Ghana.
