Dear Islam Abduganievich,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and the fraternal people of your country on the occasion of the public holiday of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Independence Day.

It is pleasant that under your leadership brotherly Uzbekistan has made impressive accomplishments in all areas during the years of independence. Today Uzbekistan has gained a worthy global reputation and respect as a country, which is prospering thanks to rapid socio-economic progress and multi-faceted well-thought out political course.

Historically Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have been bound together by common cultural and moral values. The two nations have rich traditions of friendship and mutual support. I am confident that the development and strengthening of these good relations, close cooperation and partnership will further contribute to the prosperity of our countries.

Dear Islam Abduganievich, on this remarkable day I wish you strong health, happiness and success and the friendly people of Uzbekistan peace and prosperity.
