President Ilham Aliyev participated at the opening of Gashalty resort site in Naftalan.
Head of state cut the ribbon signaling the opening and studied the resort site.
Known as a resort city in the world, the development of city of Naftalan was constantly in the focus of attention of the great leader Heydar Aliyev. Back on February 19, 1982, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan adopted the special decision to develop further the resort city of Naftalan. It raised the number of patients treated in Naftalan from 35 to 70 thousand people.
The Gashalty Resort Compound was constructed in the framework of State Program of Development of Resort Sites in the years of 2009-2018 in the Republic of Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev visited the polyclinic department, water procedures center and dormitories of the five storey resort site which employs 200 people. Water procedure center disposes a swimming pool, iodine-bromine bath, aqua aerobics pool, sauna, Turkish and Finnish baths. The heat treatment chair will run also its activities in this compound. The latest treatment methods will be applied in its physiotherapy section.
The dormitory with 92 beds in resort site has 83 standard and 9 de-luxe rooms.
Modern equipment is installed to solve the motion system problems in fitness and gymnastics halls. At the same time, medical gym apparatus is brought here for the first time in our country.
Afterwards, President Ilham Aliyev visited Naftalan oil bath rooms. It was reported that the oil of Naftalan is regarded as the main remedy which has a wider spectrum of specific features due to the naphtene carbohydrate.
The resort site has a large 3D movie theater, bowling, snooker rooms in its big entertainment center.
President Ilham Aliyev studied master plans to construct compounds designed for the future and those which are under construction in the city of Naftalan. It was reported that a new master plan of Heydar Aliyev park compound is drafted for the city of Naftalan. Three storey administrative building of Naftalan Executive Power Office is being constructed in this territory. It is envisaged to complete the building in July-August.
Head of state was informed also about technical specifications of the Heydar Aliyev Center which is to be constructed soon.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction over the work done, and gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
