I thank you in connection with the opening of this tunnel. You did a wonderful job in such a short time. Such a beautiful bridge and tunnel were built in less than a year, and this is very important in terms of regulating traffic in this area. However, this is only part of the job. More work will be carried out and thus, the whole area will meet the highest standards in terms of excess traffic. The main thing in this work is quality, and of course, the pace. Both issues were resolved here. I am confident that all other work will also be carried out at the same pace and with the same quality.

I congratulate you on the forthcoming holiday and wish you new successes.

After that, the head of state inspected a junction passing over the tunnel. It was reported that drivers moving from the Fatali Xan Xoyski Avenue to the Nariman Narimanov metro station and back can use the tunnel, while drivers moving to Koroglu Rahimov Street can use the upper road. This is a great event not just for our school, but also for people living in the neighbourhood. Because parents who send their children to school worried how their children crossed the street. They often called the school to find out whether they had reached the school. You put an end to these worries. We are very thankful to you.

Saying that President Ilham Aliyev is successfully continuing the policies of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and reconstruction work is expanding in our country, Sabir Mamishov stated:

Our national leader Heydar Aliyev established Azerbaijan as an independent state and protected it from being partitioned. You developed Azerbaijan even further. New buildings are being built and new passages are being opened in our country every day. We thank you once again.

President Ilham Aliyev said:

Thank you. I congratulate you on the forthcoming World Azerbaijani Solidarity Day and the New Year. I wish you and all the teachers of Azerbaijan happiness and strong health. Today is a remarkable day in Baku. Four underground passages and two tunnels were opened today. These passages certainly have their own particularities and importance, and as you said, a big school is located here. Several years ago, this school was also refurbished, and I remember that I had familiarized myself with the condition of this school.

The more foreign languages our children know, the better. Our children should be knowledgeable and educated, should work for our country and future and should be brought up well. Of course, all conditions must be right for this. You know that more than 2,000 schools have been built and refurbished in various parts of our country, and this process is continuing, because there are still too many schools that need to be refurbished.
