Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new park next to the Baku Marine Trade Port

President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new park next to the Baku Marine Trade Port with his family members.

The construction works were carried out in the new park at the area of the Baku Marine Trade Port, as per instruction of the President given at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting dedicated to the socio-economic outcomes of the first nine months of 2010. At that meeting, the President noted that a new international trade port would be built, while talking about the necessity of reconstructing and renovating works and creation of new leisure spots conforming to the modern standards in the area of the former trade port. The reconstruction works carried out also envisaged the extension of the Seaside National Park from both ends. President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions were implemented in the shortest span of time conforming to the most up-to-date standards.

The President was informed about the reconstruction and renovation works carried out in the area. It was mentioned that, as per the instruction of the President of Azerbaijan, reconstruction works had been carried out at the 3 ha area of the former trade port, which had, in a short span of time, transformed into a leisure spot with all the conditions for full relaxation of the residents of the capital and the guests of the country. Strips of greenery have been set and modern benches installed in the area of the park. The devices conforming to most up-to-date standards have been installed for entertainment of the kids in the park and various facilities have been built for exemplary service to the people. New fountains and water passages have been built in the park that gives a special touch to the capital with its design. The lighting system of the park follows the highest standards. Also, the tallest Christmas tree was erected at the park. Artificial ice-ring have been created around the Christmas tree for entertainment of children and teenagers.

President Ilham Aliyev also inquired about the conditions of the leisure facilities that would serve the people visiting the park.

The President and his family members checked the conditions created in the new park.

The inauguration of the new park was the holiday present of the President of Azerbaijan to the residents of the capital.
