Dinner reception was hosted in honor of participants of the 43rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees

The Baku 2015 European Games Organizing Committee has hosted a dinner reception in honor of participants of the 43rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees held in Baku.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva arrived at the Heydar Aliyev Center. The head of state and his wife met with president of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach and president of the European Olympic Committees Patrick Hickey.

Then the guests viewed the Heydar Aliyev Center. They were informed that the center was one of the world`s architectural pearls. The center has hosted numerous international events. The guests were informed of the Heydar Aliyev Museum.

The guests viewed Mini Azerbaijan exhibition hall. It was said that the project is of particular importance in terms of the promotion of architectural monuments of Baku and regions.

Then the dinner reception hosted by the Baku 2015 European Games Organizing Committee in honor of participants of the 43rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees was held.

The ceremony started with a video presentation on the first European Games.

EOC representative Jon Tibbs thanked President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva for the high-level organization of the 43rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees. He said the ceremony will feature the awarding of Piotr Nurowski Prize to best athletes of Europe.

President of the European Olympic Committees Patrick Hickey wished athletes success.

Then the ceremony to award Piotr Nurowski Prize to best athletes started.

Italian swimmer Simone Sabbioni was selected the best European athlete to win Piotr Nurowski Prize. Other athletes received awards of the European Olympic Committees.

After a picture was taken, the ceremony continued with the dinner reception and a concert program.
