Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso visited the Heydar Aliyev Center

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso have visited the Heydar Aliyev Center.

President Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso toured the Heydar Aliyev Center.

The guest, who familiarized himself with the activities of the center, first reviewed the cars that were used by the national leader during his tenure as head of Azerbaijan from 1969-2003.

Special attention in the establishment of the museum in memory of the national leader was paid to different periods of great leader Heydar Aliyev`s life and activities. There is an exhibition called “Azerbaijani pearls” at the center. It features unique exhibits about Azerbaijan`s history and culture, as well as the country`s inexhaustible natural resources.

President Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso also reviewed the exhibition of acclaimed British sculptor Tony Cragg. The exhibition demonstrates interesting works by the sculptor.

The guest then viewed the auditorium and the conference hall.

President Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso were also familiarized with the solo exhibition by Laurence Jenkell, a renowned French artist and sculptor in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center. This unique exhibition shows national flags of different countries through interesting compositions.
