President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and chairman of the Azerbaijan-Netherlands Friendship Society, Rene van der Linden.
The former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and chairman of the Azerbaijan-Netherlands Friendship Society, Rene van der Linden, congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his reelection as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The sides highlighted the importance of the Third Baku International Humanitarian Forum in terms of a further reinforcement of humanitarian and cultural ties between the two countries and peoples.
During the meeting, the parties pointed to favorable opportunities for the enhancement of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands in the fields of economics, business, education and other areas, and emphasized that Dutch companies were successfully operating in Azerbaijan.
A ceremony took place on August 19 in Baku to exchange the documents signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin in attendance.
