Your Excellency,
On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I would like to extend my warm wishes to Your Excellency and the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan on behalf of the people of the Republic of Singapore.
May I also take this opportunity to extend my congratulations to you on your successful re-election as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Relations between our countries are developing well. We had a fruitful discussion on our countries` development and opportunities for broad-based cooperation when you visited Singapore in November last year, the first by a Head of State of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Singapore, I am pleased to note that cooperation between our official has gained momentum following your milestone state visit.
I note that a Singapore company, Keppel Offshore & Marine has recently launched their second shipyard in Baku in collaboration with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. Such collaboration bodes well for our two countries and I am hopeful that it will lead to even greater trade and investment opportunities for the mutual benefit of our two peoples.
I wish Your Excellency continued good health and prosperity, as well as peace and happiness for the Republic of Azerbaijan and its people.
