Ilham Aliyev paid tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev

After the inauguration ceremony, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev along with family members visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to the architect and founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The President laid a wreath at the tomb of the great leader.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev and his family visited the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, and laid flowers at it.

Flowers were also laid on the graves of statesman Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev.
