President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has telephoned Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The President of Azerbaijan wished Vladimir Putin every success in the presidential activity and good health for a happy birthday.

The President of the Russian Federation thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and best wishes.

During the conversation the sides expressed their satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in various fields, touched upon the significance of high-level reciprocal visits and stressed the importance of the recent visit of the Russian to the Republic of Azerbaijan from the point of view of a further strengthening of the ties.

The heads of state expressed their confidence that the relations between the two countries would continue to develop.
