Ilham Aliyev reviewed secondary schools No 234, 125 and 121 in the Khazar district of Baku after major overhaul and reconstruction

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva have reviewed secondary schools No 234, 125 and 121 in the Khazar district of Baku after major overhaul and reconstruction.

In accordance with the State program on the socioeconomic development of Baku and its suburban settlements, work on the renovation and remodeling secondary schools continues.

First, President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva reviewed the renovation carried out at secondary school No 234.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the President about the work done. It was noted that the school was built in 1980. The school for 1,176 pupils provides education to 850 children. All classrooms, subject-specific rooms, the canteen, the library, the assembly hall and the gyms have been overhauled in line with the highest standards. The educational institution will operate computer classrooms.

The lighting and heating systems of the schools have been remodeled and the area around the building has been landscaped.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva visited secondary school No. 125. The President was informed about the work done. It was noted that the school was built in 1939.

During a visit to the school in 2011, the head of state issued an order on the construction of a new school building. On the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, a new building of the school was constructed in accordance with high standards. The new school for 760 people provides education to 560 pupils. The assembly hall and the gym meet the highest standards. The school also has computer classrooms. The educational institution is fitted with the latest equipment, lighting and heating systems, and the area around it has been landscaped.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva were familiarized with secondary school No. 121 in the Bina settlement. Information was provided on the reconstruction work carried out here. It was indicated that an additional building for the school, which was built in 1934, was constructed in 2006-2007. The old building of the school was in disrepair, so it was demolished in 2012 and a new building for 400 pupils meeting modern standards put in place. All classrooms of the school meet the highest requirements. The school for 1,040 kids currently provides education to 870 pupils.

The President and his wife toured the school. The new building has an assembly hall and a gym and operates modern lighting and heating systems. The area around the school has been landscaped.
