Ilham Aliyev reviewed secondary schools No 249 and 138 in the Khatai district of Baku district after major overhaul and reconstruction

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed secondary schools No 249 and 138 in the Khatai district of Baku district after major overhaul and reconstruction.

In accordance with the State program on the socioeconomic development of Baku and its suburban settlements, work continue on renovation and remodeling of secondary schools.

First, President Ilham Aliyev reviewed secondary school No. 249 after major overhaul and reconstruction.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the President about the work done. It was noted that the school, built in 1972, consists of two buildings. The school for 1,280 pupils provides education to 1,400 people. Along with the Azerbaijani language department, the school operates the Russian section as well. The school building covers a floor area of 2,252 square meters, while the total area of the school is 19,272 square meters. In anticipation of the new academic year, the school building has been renovated, classrooms and subject-specific rooms refurbished and equipped with modern facilities. The area adjacent to the school grounds has been landscaped.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev visited school No 138. The President was informed about the work carried out in the school. It was noted that secondary school No. 138, consisting of two buildings, was constructed in 1977. The school for 1,176 students provides education to 1,020 children. Also located within this school is school No. 30 of Fizuli District for 80 pupils. The floor area of the school is 5,600 square meters and its total area is 17,800 square meters.

The overhaul and reconstruction of all classrooms and subject-specific rooms have been conducted in accordance with high standards. The grounds of the school have also been landscaped.
