Ilham Aliyev reviewed secondary schools No 252 and 80 in the Sabunchu district of Baku after major overhaul and reconstruction

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed secondary schools No 252 and 80 in the Sabunchu district of Baku after major overhaul and reconstruction.

Major repairs and reconstruction of educational institutions are consistently implemented in accordance with the action plan envisaged under the State program on the socioeconomic development of Baku and its suburban settlements. Renovated schools, constructed academic buildings, sports grounds and assembly halls are equipped with the latest facilities in anticipation of the new school year and provided for the disposal of schoolchildren.

First, President Ilham Aliyev visited school No 252 in the Sabunchu district of Baku after major overhaul and reconstruction.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the President about the reconstruction carried out in the school and the conditions created. It was noted that the school building was constructed in 1972. Earlier, 1,100 students went to the school. In accordance with the state program, build additional building for 800 pupils consisting of 40 classrooms has been constructed. The school for 1,900 pupils currently provides education to 1,176 students. All classrooms and subject-specific rooms of the school have been renovated and reconstructed. Both indoor and outdoor sports facilities have been remodeled and a modern heating system installed.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev visited secondary school No 80 in Sabunchu.

The head of state was first informed about the work done. It was noted that the building of the school had been constructed on the initiative of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in 1969. In 1975, the great leader visited the school and met with its teachers and pupils. The school for 860 pupils currently provides education to 1,110 people. The construction of a new building for 600 pupils consisting of 30 classrooms is expected in the future. All classrooms, subject-specific rooms, the assembly hall and the gym at school No 80 have also been completely overhauled and provided with the necessary equipment. The most modern heating system has been installed.

After reviewing the work done, the President gave appropriate instructions concerning the work ahead.
