I sincerely greet you on the occasion of the opening of Baku Energy Week.
This important event serves as a significant platform for presenting our achievements in the energy sector and discussing future priorities. Today, we are participating in the 30th edition — a jubilee event — which once again affirms its successful history and importance.
Baku Energy Week has evolved as a logical continuation of the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition, which was founded with the initiative and support of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Over the years, it has grown into a prestigious international event in the energy sector. Contributing to the development of energy diplomacy, the establishment of strategic partnerships, and the strengthening of our country’s position on the global energy map, this event holds the distinction of being Azerbaijan’s first national exhibition brand.
Throughout the years, this initiative has expanded in line with global trends in the energy sector and has adopted the Baku Energy Week format. Addressing a wide range of topics, from traditional energy sources to renewable energy, Baku Energy Week has gained recognition as an authoritative forum where new approaches and international energy dialogue are shaped.
At the same time, this event is a vivid demonstration of the successful path Azerbaijan has pursued in the energy sector, its growing international reputation, and its farsighted strategic vision. Strengthening energy security, diversifying energy supply, and ensuring sustainable development in the field of green energy remain among our country's top priorities today. The measures taken in this direction further consolidate Azerbaijan’s position as a reliable and responsible partner in the global energy market. The event’s broad scope and extensive international coverage reaffirm this. With the participation of companies from eighty countries, Baku Energy Week reflects Azerbaijan’s prominent role in fostering international energy cooperation.
The development of the liberated territories as a “green energy” zone constitutes one of the main directions of our sustainable energy strategy. Successful approaches create new opportunities for Azerbaijan’s continuous growth in the energy sector. The initiatives being implemented also reflect our responsible attitude toward environmental protection and our ambition to lead in the energy industry.
I am confident that Baku Energy Week, remaining true to its rich traditions and commitment to innovation, will continue to make a valuable contribution to the deepening of international dialogue, the establishment of new partnerships, and the promotion of effective cooperation.
