President Ilham Aliyev checked out the ongoing capital reconstruction and renovation works carried out in the building of the Mingachevir State Theatre of Drama named after M. Davudova.
The President first viewed the land improvement works carried out in the entertainment park in front of the building.

The President was informed that the building of the theatre was built in 1951 and had been in use until 1953. It has been functioning as State Theatre of Drama since 1968. Since that time, no reconstruction and renovation works had been carried out in this cultural center of the city. The reconstruction works, which had started in 2008, have been carried out conforming to the most up to date standards. There are 32 rooms in the two-storey building, with a general area of 2300 square meters. Rooms for make-up, training and painters, and a cafeteria will be located on the first floor. The second floor will feature a small hall with 160 seats. Administrative rooms will also be located on this floor. The main hall of the theatre can accommodate audience of 510 people. The reconstruction works will finish in March of 2011.
President Ilham Aliyev gave suggestions and instructions to complete the reconstruction works on time and conforming to high standards.
