Ilham Aliyev received the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group

President Ilham Aliyev received members of the Assessment Mission of the OSCE Minsk group on the surrounding regions of Nagorno-Karabakh, co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov (Russia), Robert Bradtke (US), Bernard Fassier (France), and the special representative of the OSCE Chairman Andrzej Kasprzyk.

The President expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to welcome the OSCE Assessment Mission in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and described the visit as a positive factor.

Welcoming the work of the mission, President Aliyev stressed the importance of the OSCE Assessment Mission's report on destructions carried out in the occupied territories, prepared during a visit to the occupied territories in 2005.

Noting the importance of presence of the representatives of the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in the Assessment Mission, the President expressed hope that an unbiased report will be prepared following this visit and observation of the mission reflecting illegal settlements and destructions in the occupied territories and the fact of occupation.

Members of the delegation expressed their satisfaction with the visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and informed the President about the upcoming work of the Assessment Mission.
