President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Dipu Moni.
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni conveyed greetings on behalf of President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed. Noting that the relations between the two nations had a long history, the Foreign Minister said there were good opportunities for the expansion of these ties.
Indicating that political relations between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh were at a good level, the President stressed the importance of economic cooperation in the implementation of joint projects and other areas. The President expressed his hope that the visit by Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dipu Moni to Azerbaijan would promote cooperation in this field.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed and asked the Foreign Minister to convey his own greetings to the President and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
