On behalf of the Polish people I congratulate you on the Republic Day. Azerbaijan continues to be an important partner for Poland in the South Caucasus region. I am confident that the positive atmosphere of cooperation will contribute to the development of trade and investment, as well as energy projects.
Poland appreciates the achievements of independent Azerbaijan both in the domestic policies and in the international arena. I do hope that the third "Eastern Partnership" summit due to be held in the autumn of this year will give an impetus to the further strengthening of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union. The Association Agreement with the European Union and the prospect of visa-free travel will be able to make a significant contribution to the social and economic modernization of the country you are leading.
