Ilham Aliyev toured the 3rd international exhibition “Caspian Agro – 2010”

President Ilham Aliyev has toured the 3rd international exhibition “Caspian Agro – 2010” specializing in the processing and packaging of agricultural and food products. The exhibition has opened at the Sports and Concert Center named after Heydar Aliyev.

First, the head of state reviewed the agricultural machinery produced by the Minsk and Ganja automobile works. The machinery was exhibited outside the exhibition center.

While touring the exhibition, organized by the Chamber of Commerce with support from the Ministry of Agriculture, the President was informed that along with displaying the country's agricultural production and products of the processing industry, the main objective of this international event was to attract the attention of foreign companies and investors to the industry in order to facilitate its development, promote development and progress which have been observed in Azerbaijan in recent years, study the achievements and experience of agricultural science. The creation of the abundance of food and food security is a priority for world countries, including Azerbaijan.

More than 80 companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Cuba, Spain, Qatar and Iran are represented at the exhibition. The active participation of local companies points to Azerbaijan’s growing export potential.

President Ilham Aliyev visited the pavilions of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic, of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Agrarian Science Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and various companies, as well as the pavilions on poultry, wine-making and agricultural machinery.
