Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a Youth Center in Gobustan

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a Youth Center in Gobustan.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Youth Center.

President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the Center.

It was noted that the Center was built to encourage young people to take interest in primary craft and vocational skills and to enhance their intellectual level. The Center has a photo stand reflecting the meetings of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev with young people. The Center will operate a variety of courses and studios. Special rooms have been set up for computer courses, dance and art studios and the shooting club. The Internet café and the 3D-cinema will help effectively organize young people’s leisure. The 210-seat conference hall of the Center can host a variety of activities.

The building of the Centre covers 882 square meters. All of its working and ancillary facilities are fitted with the necessary equipment.

The opening of the Centre on the eve of the 90th birthday anniversary of great leader Heydar Aliyev is deeply symbolic. The nationwide leader was particularly attentive to the development of Azerbaijani youth, solution of its social problems and improvement of its educational and intellectual level. The youth policy laid down by the great leader is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. Comprehensive measures have been taken in this area since 2003. In this respect, an important role has been played by the successful implementation of the State Program "Azerbaijani Youth" which covered 2005-2009. The State Program "Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015" suggests that work in this area has been sustained. The government carries out focused measures to identify the intellectual and creative potential of young people and direct it into the solution of national issues, especially the activity of young people living in the regions. These measures include the establishment of modern youth centers in the regions of the country, including Gobustan.
