President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the reconstructed Waterfront Park in Mingachevir.
The head of state reviewed the stands reflecting the state of the park before the reconstruction. It was noted that the area of the recreation center was neglected for many years, which spoiled the overall appearance of the city. The reconstruction of the waterfront park was launched in March of last year and completed in April of this year. Construction work was carried out to the highest standards. The park covers an area of 3,000 square meters.
Extensive landscaping has been carried out, trees and flower bushes planted. Special pots impart special beauty to the park.
The park has 200 benches made of materials resistant to all weather conditions, a modern lighting system, a large monitor displaying various cultural events. There is also a parking lot here.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the process of construction of a cable way over the River Kura was under way. This cable way, 212 meters in length, will transport 1,000 people two elevators. The park has modern rides and a children's swing.
The park is well suited for the recreation of local residents and visitors. There are catering facilities here. Fountains impart special beauty to the general appearance of the park. There is an automatic irrigation system on the green area. The roofs of municipal buildings around the park have been renovated. The Waterfront Park, which has acquired a totally different appearance after renovation, is a valuable gift to local residents.
The head of state gave instructions on completing the work with the highest level of quality.
