President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Jan Kubis.
The sides expressed their satisfaction with the activities of Azerbaijan within the UN structure and the level of Azerbaijan’s cooperation with the UN in Afghanistan in recent years. The parties also expressed their confidence that this cooperation would further expand in the coming years. It was emphasized during the meeting that after the withdrawal of the international peacekeeping forces from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan would play a significant role in promoting stability and statehood and achieving economic development in this country.
