President Ilham Aliyev has met with President of Thales Alenia Space Jean Loic Galle in Davos.
It was stressed during the meeting that Azerbaijan was attaching particular importance to the development of information and communication technologies. The sides discussed issues pertaining to the launch of Azerbaijan’s second telecommunications satellite and a satellite for the observation of the Earth surface. The parties also exchanged views on the establishment of a space industry in Azerbaijan and preparation of a long-term strategy in this area.
