Ilham Aliyev, Traian Basescu, and Mikheil Saakashvili toured the Seaside National Park

President Ilham Aliyev, Romanian President Traian Basescu, and Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili toured the Seaside National Park. It was noted that the reconstruction of parks and gardens across Baku had been kept under attention in the recent years.

The main reason for this is to ensure the meaningful rest of people. The reconstruction works carried out in Baku have also intensified in the Seaside National Park. As one of the most visited places of the capital residents and Baku guests, boulevard has changed its appearance beyond recognition in the last few years. National style and international practice have been matched professionally during the reconstruction. Currently, attracting everyone’s attention with its beauty, Baku Boulevard adorns the Azerbaijani capital.

Then, the guests arrived at Icherisheher. It was noted that Icherisheher, the pearl of Azerbaijani history and culture, is one of the rare monuments of the world cultural heritage. Being the living legend of Azerbaijan’s history, Icherisheher monumental complex is considered as one of the unmatched monuments in the world. During the archeological excavations carried out here, the unopened pages of the national statehood history were revealed, and the historical facts, confirming the strategic importance of ancient Baku located on the Silk Road, were discovered. Precisely for this reason, Icherisheher, declared in 1985 as the State Historical-Architectural Preserve, has been included into the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List since 2000.

Caravanserai – one of the most important historical sites of Icherisheher, excited great interest in guests. The guests viewed the national art exhibition in Icherisheher.

Then, the Presidents visited the Fountain’s Square. It was mentioned that the Fountain’s square, one of the most beautiful leisure spots in Baku, had been returned to the residents of the capital in a better and more original format following the capital reconstruction and renovation works. All conditions were created here for ensuring the rest of the capital residents and the guests of the city.
