Your Excellency,

Please allow me to first extend sincere and fraternal greetings, on behalf of the people of the Republic of the Gambia and on my own behalf, to you and to the good people of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It is indeed an honor for me to congratulate you, and through you, the entire nation of Azerbaijan on the solemn occasion of your National Day. It is, of course, a historic day in your country's calendar, embodying sovereignty and independence, enabling you to chart your own destiny.

May I take this opportunity to recognize the positive achievements you have registered as a nation in attaining much-needed socio-economic development for your people. Azerbaijan is today an upper middle-income country by any standard, thanks to your dynamic leadership.
