On December 24, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a phone call to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
President Tokayev congratulated President Aliyev on his birthday, wishing him continued success in his presidential duties and good health.
President Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the kind congratulations and attention.
During the conversation, the Presidents emphasized the significance of high-level reciprocal visits and contacts, particularly highlighting the importance of President Tokayev’s state visit to Azerbaijan earlier this year in strengthening bilateral relations.
President Tokayev also congratulated President Aliyev on the successful hosting of COP29 in Azerbaijan, noting that the event further reinforced Azerbaijan's position on the international stage.
President Aliyev thanked President Tokayev for his congratulations and expressed appreciation for his active participation in COP29.
The two leaders praised the successful development of friendly and brotherly relations between their countries and expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation would continue to grow.
They also discussed prospects for future relations, upcoming contacts, and other matters of mutual interest.
