President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev examined the ongoing reconstruction of the Khankendi-Shusha-Lachin highway.
Chairman of the Board of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads Saleh Mammadov briefed the head of state on the progress of reconstruction.
The reconstruction project for the Khankendi-Shusha-Lachin highway is advancing, with a total length of 34 kilometers. The second-class technical road has a soil foundation width of 15 meters, with each lane measuring 3.75 meters.
The construction plans include two bridges, four tunnels, and multiple culverts. Drilling has been completed at the entrance and exit portals for the first and third tunnels, measuring 440 and 1,100 meters in length, respectively. Work on the other two tunnels, with lengths of 540 and 300 meters, is set to start soon.
