I sincerely congratulate you on your re-election as President of the United States of America. Your victory in the election is a tangible expression of the confidence and trust of the friendly American people, their support for your domestic and foreign policies.
Azerbaijan is linked with the United States through relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields. Our joint participation in ensuring the energy security of the world, the fight against international terrorism and peace and stability in conflict areas has enhanced our bilateral relations to a level of strategic partnership.
I believe that during your next presidency the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States based on mutual interests and common values would further expand and strengthen, that our countries would continue successful cooperation in the field of international security, economic development and democratic reform.
Azerbaijan also has high hopes for the efforts of the United States as co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group and personally your efforts to achieve a peaceful and fair solution to the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict which has been ongoing for more than 20 years within the framework of international law.
