Ilham Aliyev received US State Department Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy

President Ilham Aliyev has received US State Department Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy Philip Verveer.

The President stressed that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States is developing successfully in various fields. Noting that Azerbaijan has extensive experience in organizing international events, President Ilham Aliyev described the holding in Baku of the Seventh Forum on Internet Governance, organized by the UN in conjunction with the Government of Azerbaijan, as an indication of the conditions created in the country for the rapid development of information and communication technologies. The President stressed that the sector of information and communication technologies had become a priority in Azerbaijan.

US State Department Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy Philip Verveer expressed his appreciation to the Government of Azerbaijan for organizing the Seventh Forum on Internet Governance. Underscoring the importance of holding the Forum in Azerbaijan, Philip Verveer said that it would be attended by many US officials.
