President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev addressed the Russian President:
- Dear Dmitry Anatolyevych, I would like to greet you in Azerbaijan again. Welcome! We are always delighted to see you.
This meeting is a great opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest. We are pleased with the current level of our relations. Our frequent visits to each other’s countries are good indicators of our relations. The agenda of our relations is broad. We work productively in various directions. Our relations are notable for their sincerity. These relations are ties between amicable neighbors, friends, and strategic allies.
I am confident that your visit to our country will carry huge importance for future development of relations and furthering of our successful steps, especially since there are issues to discuss and important decisions to adopt.

Our relations are indeed relations of amicable neighborhood, friendship, and strategic ties. Therefore, today, in this sense, is a very important day.
With regards to the future, I absolutely agree that our frequent meetings and communication, both here in Azerbaijan and in the Russian Federation, as well as in other places during various summits, are assurances of close, strong, and friendly relations for many years to come.
